Designed by Stephan Maria Lang, this private residence is characterized by its sculptural T-shape, which is subtly angled on the site to maximize panoramic views and foster a strong indoor-outdoor connection. The villa’s layout celebrates the interplay of light and space, offering a variety of garden experiences—from a sunken courtyard for the indoor pool to terraces that capture both morning and evening sun.

The design’s material palette is both simple and refined, featuring white plastered walls, wooden oak floors, and locally sourced limestone for floors, bathrooms, chimneys, and garden walls. These elements create a striking contrast between the crisp white volumes of the house and the rugged textures of the natural stone, establishing a sophisticated backdrop for the resident’s contemporary art collection. The careful selection of materials not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ties the residence closely to its local context.

Technically, House GR31 employs a robust concrete structure with a ventilated facade and metal cladding, ensuring durability and energy efficiency.
