Purify Panel: Revolutionizing Healthy Home Environments

Innovative antibacterial plate offers long-term air purification and safety

Purify, designed by Jia Shao, Xiaoling Huang, and Lingli He, introduces a formaldehyde-free antibacterial panel that sets new standards for indoor air quality and sustainable living.

Indoor air pollution remains a pressing concern in modern home design, particularly due to the harmful effects of formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) commonly found in furniture and building materials. Addressing this challenge, the Purify Formaldehyde Antibacterial Plate presents a breakthrough solution by eliminating the need for added aldehydes during production. Instead, it utilizes a proprietary formaldehyde-free antibacterial coating that continuously purifies the air, prevents bacteria and mold growth, and removes TVOCs, thereby extending the lifecycle of furniture and reducing maintenance costs.

What distinguishes the Purify panel is its remarkable efficiency and versatility. The panel achieves a formaldehyde removal rate of 95.1%, a constant purification rate of 82.4%, and an antibacterial rate of 99.9%, all surpassing industry standards. Its advanced coating allows for seamless integration with various decorative papers, catering to personalized home aesthetics while maintaining a focus on health and safety. The product’s anti-mold grade reaches Level-0, the highest in its class, ensuring superior protection for sensitive individuals such as children and pregnant women.

The technology behind Purify is both innovative and environmentally conscious. By employing a formaldehyde-free base material and a patented nano silicon coating, the panel automatically decomposes formaldehyde into harmless substances. This process enables up to 13 years of constant purification, even addressing formaldehyde introduced by other furniture in the space. Daily maintenance is simple—users need only wipe the surface with clean water to maintain its effectiveness, reducing the need for chemical cleaners and promoting sustainability.

Research for the Purify panel was driven by the increasing demand for healthy, eco-friendly, and customizable home solutions. The design team, including Jilei Fu, Qiuli Li, Yimin Lu, Yuru Huang, Wenmin Chen, and Yingxin Yu, overcame significant technical challenges by integrating nano silicon materials and aldehyde purification factors. The result is a rigid, aesthetically pleasing panel that balances practicality with modern design trends, suitable for a wide range of applications from custom cabinets and wood doors to entire building interiors.

Recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2025, the Purify Formaldehyde Antibacterial Plate exemplifies the fusion of art, science, and technology. Its multi-functional coating, long-term durability, and commitment to environmental health mark a significant advancement in furniture and building materials, offering a safer, cleaner, and more personalized living environment for all.

As the demand for healthier homes continues to grow, innovations like Purify set a new benchmark for sustainable design, encouraging the industry to prioritize both well-being and aesthetic appeal in future developments.
