Elegant sales office design unites cultural refinement and innovation

Cloud Landmark stands as a testament to the seamless integration of cultural aesthetics and architectural innovation. Designed by Jian Zhang, this 600-square-meter sales office in Hangzhou, China, takes its cues from the refined lifestyles and visual subtleties of both Hangzhou and Paris. The project’s concept centers on highlighting the understated elegance that connects these two cities, translating their shared sensibilities into a contemporary spatial experience.

At the heart of the design lies a dramatic 16-column skylit atrium, which serves as both a structural and visual anchor. The centerpiece—a classical Eight Immortals table beneath a striking white camellia sculpture—creates a focal point that embodies grace and tradition. Natural light filters through the skylight, casting dynamic shadows across the dark green marble floor, while a ceiling grille enhances the interplay of light and shadow, infusing the space with a sense of movement and vitality.

One of the project’s most notable achievements is its use of accessible materials to achieve a high-end effect. Marble, wood veneers, and stone-textured paint were selected for their elegance and cost-effectiveness, allowing the design to remain within budget without sacrificing visual impact.
