Located within the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, the Hainan Ancient Yantian Yard On The Sea Sales Office stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of nature and modern architecture. Drawing from the region’s meandering water systems and lush landscapes, the design prioritizes green habitat principles, aiming to promote ecological awareness on an international stage. The use of natural elements, such as abundant greenery and sunlight, creates a dynamic spatial experience, where shifting light and shadow transform the ambiance throughout the day.

The project’s spatial concept revolves around the idea of a “roundabout,” encouraging visitors to explore and experience the environment from multiple perspectives. The minimalist backdrop accentuates the interplay between natural light and the interior, reflecting the ever-changing beauty of the surrounding landscape. At 1,594 square meters, the sales office offers a spacious yet intimate setting, enhanced by organic construction techniques and the strategic interspersion of architectural blocks.

Design strategies employed by Shenzhen Wenhua Design Consultant include contrasting virtual and real elements, integrating the landscape seamlessly with the built environment. The team addressed unique challenges, such as the absence of a traditional front square and the need to accommodate both property viewing and golf clientele through a unified entrance. Solutions focused on creating a ceremonial sense of arrival and a sequence of spaces that surprise and delight, even within an irregular floor plan.

Research for the project involved thorough site visits and close communication with stakeholders to ensure the design met both functional and experiential goals. The resulting space not only serves its commercial purpose but also embodies the lifestyle of “travelling and living,” reflecting the local culture and the aesthetics of mountains, seas, and art. The sales office’s location within a golf course further enhances its resort-like atmosphere, blending leisure, innovation, and contemporary art.

The Yangpu Sales Office has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design for 2025. This accolade highlights the project’s creative ingenuity and its contribution to improving quality of life through thoughtful design.
