The Xijiu Matured Liquor Series stands as a testament to the enduring power of cultural heritage in modern design. Drawing inspiration from a revered artifact in the Palace Museum, the bottle’s circular silhouette embodies completeness and harmony—core values in Chinese tradition. This form is further enriched with motifs such as mountains, the rising sun, scrolls, and ribbons, each carefully chosen to evoke the visual identity of Chinese culture. The classic drum-shaped bottle not only signifies the preciousness of matured liquor but also conveys aspirations for fulfillment in life and career.

What distinguishes this packaging is its seamless integration of traditional symbolism and contemporary aesthetics. The design incorporates the circle’s profound meaning in Chinese culture, reflecting both the heritage of Xijiu and the exceptional quality of its matured liquor. By marrying classical elements with modern sensibilities, the packaging breathes new life into a timeless form. The result is a collectible artwork, rich in cultural resonance and emotional depth, that appeals to both connoisseurs and new admirers alike.

Technological innovation plays a pivotal role in the realization of this design. Laser-engraved age statements—15 and 30 years—adorn the bottle like fluttering ribbons, paying homage to the literati tradition of enjoying liquor and composing poetry by a winding stream. Inside, an original woodcut-style illustration weaves together the landscape of the Chishui River and the premium ingredients used in brewing, offering a multisensory experience that connects visual artistry with the aroma of fine liquor.

User experience remains at the forefront of the design philosophy. The cap, inspired by the Sihe Ruyi—a four-sided auspicious shape—symbolizes harmony and the alignment of time, place, craftsmanship, and people. Its smooth operation ensures ease of use, while the outer box is engineered for portability and secure storage, safeguarding the product during transport and display. These thoughtful details enhance both functionality and emotional engagement.
