IQI Global Headquarters: A Vibrant Office Redefining Collaboration

Han Boon Ho crafts a dynamic, tech-driven workspace in Kuala Lumpur

Inspired by the ambition to move beyond conventional office layouts, the IQI Global Headquarters introduces a fluid, open concept that encourages innovation and teamwork. The design leverages the brand’s signature orange alongside a spectrum of vibrant colors, creating an energetic atmosphere that reflects IQI’s dynamic identity. Spanning 38,000 square feet across three floors, the workspace comfortably accommodates 350 employees while maintaining a sense of openness and modernity.

Distinctive features set this office apart, including dedicated phone pods, flexible co-working spaces, inviting cafes, and versatile meeting rooms. Each area is thoughtfully crafted to meet the diverse needs of a tech-driven real estate agency, seamlessly blending functionality with bold aesthetics. The integration of greenery throughout the space not only enhances visual appeal but also promotes well-being among employees.

Technology plays a pivotal role in the realization of this design. Smart systems allow employees to book meeting rooms effortlessly, while intelligent thermostats and lighting controls optimize energy use. These innovations streamline daily operations and contribute to a sustainable, forward-thinking work environment.

The spatial organization of the headquarters is both strategic and inclusive. The 26th floor, open to the public, serves as a welcoming entry point. The 27th floor houses subsidiaries, meeting rooms, and hot-desking zones, fostering flexibility and collaboration. The 28th floor is reserved for management and operational teams, offering a panoramic view of the workspace and ensuring a natural progression from public to private areas.

Overcoming challenges such as integrating dynamic design elements with the client’s vision and concealing structural columns, Han Boon Ho’s team delivered a space that balances playfulness with professionalism. The project, completed in early 2024, stands as a testament to thoughtful design, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a vibrant work culture.

Recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2025, the IQI Global Headquarters exemplifies how innovative design can elevate the everyday office experience, making it both practical and inspiring for a new generation of professionals.
