At the heart of the Avatar cabinet’s appeal is its double opening door design, complemented by two side observation windows. This configuration significantly expands the display area, allowing customers to locate products quickly and easily. The inclusion of a detachable, customizable display board at the top interior further streamlines access to essential product information, such as advertisements and price tags, optimizing the overall shopping journey.
What sets the Avatar apart is its combination of high storage capacity and effortless product visibility. The cabinet’s 351-liter internal space, achieved through a wide box structure and large capacity baskets, accommodates a diverse range of goods. Small hanging baskets in higher temperature zones provide additional flexibility for storing light frozen items, demonstrating thoughtful attention to the varied needs of modern retailers.
Technological innovation is central to the Avatar’s design. Intelligent sensors automatically adjust operational parameters in response to environmental changes, while real-time inventory monitoring ensures a consistent supply of merchandise. The intelligent management system, which includes data analysis and inventory tracking, empowers merchants to make timely adjustments and improve operational efficiency. The bionic shark fin handles not only enhance visual appeal but also prioritize ease of use and durability.
Durability and sustainability are addressed through the use of precoated steel plate liners and aluminium alloy reinforcements, which extend the cabinet’s lifespan. The application of low ohmic value tempered coated reflective glass helps retain cold air with minimal energy loss, aligning with contemporary environmental conservation principles. These features reflect a commitment to both robust performance and responsible design.
The development of the Avatar was driven by the rapid growth of the cold drinks and cold food industry, which demands larger capacities and better product visibility in commercial freezers. Overcoming challenges related to storage diversity, the design team—Hongkui Ma, Shanmin Yin, Yongjun Zhang, Ruixiang Zhang, and Hongyi Yang—crafted a solution that maximizes internal space and supports efficient classification and storage of diverse commodities.
Recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2025, the Avatar freezing display cabinet exemplifies how practical innovation and thoughtful design can transform the retail landscape, offering both merchants and consumers a superior, more engaging experience.
