Churros, the innovative lighting collection by Yi Hsien Lin, draws inspiration from the 19th-century invention of explosion-proof light tubes, a staple of industrial design now celebrated as vintage icons. The designer reinterprets this utilitarian form through an Oriental lens, referencing the rhythmic repetition found in East Asian objects such as bamboo blinds, water wheels, and lanterns. This cultural resonance is reflected in the lamp’s elongated, churro-like silhouette, blending historical reference with contemporary minimalism.

The Churros lamp distinguishes itself through its unique use of wooden strips, which evoke warmth while maintaining a sense of minimalist order.
