In response to shifting consumer habits following the pandemic, the Zina series by Yu Ren addresses the growing demand for practical yet engaging home essentials. Economic challenges have led many to seek out products that are both functional and affordable, but Zina stands out by infusing everyday items with distinctive intellectual property (IP) elements. This approach not only meets basic storage needs but also delivers a unique and enjoyable user experience, setting Zina apart from conventional garment racks and wardrobes.

The Zina collection distinguishes itself through its clever integration of cost-effective IP features into contemporary forms. Spherical molded plastic accents, paired with vivid color options, transform the racks and wardrobes into cheerful focal points within any home. These decorative elements are not merely aesthetic; they double as functional hooks, enhancing the versatility of each piece. Constructed from sturdy metal round tubes and panels, the Zina wardrobe exemplifies durability and thoughtful design. This user-centric approach enabled the design team, including Lan Wang, Yating Pang, and Youjin Song, to create solutions that address real-life challenges. The biggest hurdle was incorporating a single, recognizable IP element across the entire range without compromising on cost or practicality—a challenge the team overcame with ingenuity and attention to detail.

Recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2025, the Zina series exemplifies how thoughtful design can elevate everyday objects.
