Cascade: Redefining Bathroom Elegance with Flowing Form

Corona’s award-winning one-piece toilet blends artistry, innovation, and sustainability.

Inspired by the sculpting force of waterfalls, the Cascade toilet by the Corona In-House Design Team introduces a bold visual identity and user-centric features to modern bathrooms, setting new standards in both form and function.

The Cascade toilet stands as a testament to Corona’s commitment to elevating bathroom design for Latin American families. Drawing inspiration from the graceful yet powerful movement of water, its flowing, chamfered edge seamlessly connects the bowl to the tank, creating a continuous line that distinguishes it from conventional, softened forms. This “Flowing Line” approach not only delivers a striking aesthetic but also establishes a cohesive visual language within the Cascade product family, which includes faucets, sinks, and furniture.

Designed and manufactured in Medellin, Colombia, the Cascade toilet integrates advanced sustainability practices. Approximately 12-17% of its materials are sourced from recirculated breakage during production, and 78% of the water used in manufacturing is recirculated. These measures underscore Corona’s dedication to resource efficiency and environmental responsibility. Backed by a lifetime warranty, the Cascade toilet also promises durability and long-term reliability.

User experience is at the heart of the Cascade’s design. The seat features innovative tabs on the outer edges, ensuring hands remain clear of less sanitary areas for improved hygiene and comfort. Installation is streamlined through a concealed trap-way system that eliminates unsightly holes and plastic caps, addressing common user frustrations and simplifying setup. This attention to detail reflects insights gained from ethnographic research with Latin American families, who expressed a preference for minimal contact and easier installation.

Technically, the Cascade toilet measures 68.1 cm in height, 66.7 cm in length, and 40 cm in width, with a water consumption of 4.8 litres per flush and a flush capacity of 800 grams MISO. Crafted from vitreous china and weighing 43.4 kg, it combines robust performance with refined design. The product’s development, spanning from 2019 to 2023, overcame challenges in manufacturing techniques to introduce a separate plastic trapway, further enhancing installation efficiency.

Recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2025, the Cascade toilet exemplifies excellence in bathroom furniture and sanitary ware. Its harmonious blend of artistry, innovation, and sustainability positions it as a trendsetting solution for contemporary bathrooms, reinforcing Corona’s leadership in the industry and offering a holistic, elegant answer to the evolving needs of Latin American households.

The Cascade toilet’s unique combination of visual sophistication, user-focused functionality, and eco-conscious production marks a significant advancement in bathroom design, inviting homeowners to experience a new standard of comfort and style.
