Inspired by the historical presence of trees guarding Taiwan’s significant buildings, "The Legacy of the Art Tree" captures the deep-rooted connection between nature and human values. The artwork distinguishes itself through its luxurious materials and meticulous craftsmanship. Drawing from the classical essence of French luxury jewelry, the piece features thirty sizes of sparkling rhinestones set using ancient diamond pavé techniques. The trunk, adorned with 24K gold leaf, radiates a treasure-like glow, while the overall composition evokes a sense of timeless grace. Hsin Lee’s design not only celebrates the vitality of the tree but also elevates it to a symbol of wisdom and splendor.

Realized through a fusion of traditional and contemporary techniques, the creation process involved century-old Japanese gold leaf methods and hidden woodworking joinery. Materials such as white and green rhinestones, resin, stainless steel, anodized titanium, and Taiwanese cypress contribute to both the visual richness and structural integrity of the piece. The intricate setting of 201 leaves in four sizes, with rhinestones ranging from 90mm to 0.8mm, posed significant technical challenges, highlighting the designer’s commitment to excellence.
