The building’s fluid architecture draws from the motion and elegance of cycling, creating a visual language that is both distinctive and evocative. This approach not only pays homage to the bicycle as a symbol of progress but also positions the structure as a beacon of creativity and innovation within the cityscape.

Functionality is at the core of EBI Lab’s design. The space serves multiple purposes, including bike display, sales, maintenance, and immersive user experiences. By centering the project around art and technology, Electric Bicycle Innovation B.V. has crafted an environment that prioritizes sustainability and technological advancement. The building acts as a vital node in Beijing’s urban transportation network, while simultaneously promoting a culture of green mobility and sustainable living.

The realization of EBI Lab leverages advanced materials and sustainable technologies. The facade, constructed from mirror-polished stainless steel, offers corrosion, weather, and impact resistance. This reflective surface blurs the boundaries between the building and its surroundings, producing a dreamlike effect that enhances interaction with the urban environment. The use of renewable materials, eco-friendly paints, and energy-efficient lighting further underscores the project’s commitment to minimizing environmental impact.

Central to the building’s interactive experience is the spiral staircase, which extends from the interior to the facade and back inside.
