Drawing inspiration from the needs of urban households, the design team—led by Fatih Saruhan and supported by Latif Mahmudoğlu, Osman Cihan Demirel, and Mert Gürsoy—crafted a toaster that addresses both aesthetic and practical demands. The compact structure, measuring 396 mm in width, 293 mm in depth, and 143 mm in height, ensures it fits seamlessly into kitchens of all sizes, while its modern silhouette complements a variety of interior styles.

Functionality is at the heart of Crispy’s appeal. The appliance features press-formed aluminum heating plates with a non-stick coating, allowing for effortless cleaning and efficient heat transfer. Its multi-functionality enables grilling, toasting, and pressing, catering to diverse culinary preferences. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, and intuitive temperature controls offer precision for perfect results. Safety is prioritized with heat-resistant handles and anti-slip feet, making it a reliable companion for daily cooking.

The design process was rooted in extensive user-centered research. Surveys, interviews, and prototype testing with home users, professional chefs, and retailers revealed a clear demand for appliances that are easy to clean, energy efficient, and adaptable. Many existing products were found to be bulky or difficult to maintain, prompting the team to focus on compactness and user-friendly features. The result is a toaster that not only meets but exceeds modern expectations for convenience and versatility.

Crispy’s realization involved meticulous material selection and production optimization. The appliance operates at 1800W, ensuring powerful performance while maintaining energy efficiency. Manufactured in Turkey, the design supports local industry and adheres to high production standards. The project’s commitment to sustainability and affordability was achieved through iterative prototyping and compliance with energy regulations, balancing cost-effectiveness with premium quality.

Crispy was showcased at Zuchex Istanbul and garnered significant industry attention, culminating in an Iron A' Design Award in 2025.
