The device utilizes infrared technology to measure body temperature without physical contact, ensuring instantaneous and accurate readings. Its patented LED aiming system projects two pairs of arches, guiding users to the optimal distance and location for measurement. Unlike laser-based systems, this method is entirely safe for animals. The preferred measurement area is the eye, which is both well-vascularized and generally tolerated by animals, as confirmed by clinical research in partnership with the University of Parma.
