Ming Tung’s rebrand for Labo De Dermafirm elevates the luxury cosmetics experience through a logo inspired by scientific innovation and sustainable packaging, reflecting the brand’s commitment to purity and dermatological excellence.

The new identity for Labo De Dermafirm, designed by Ming Tung, centers on a logo that visually represents the brand’s six key ingredients. Drawing inspiration from BIOTOC and purify-water technology, the design employs circular motifs reminiscent of water droplets and cellular forms. This approach not only communicates the advanced formulations behind the products but also reinforces the brand’s dedication to clean, reliable, and high-performance skincare.

Distinctive features set this rebrand apart in the luxury cosmetics sector. Labo De Dermafirm’s focus on high-purity ingredients, developed through extensive clinical research in its in-house laboratory, ensures both safety and efficacy. The brand’s core values—sustainability, inclusivity, and transparency—are woven into every aspect of the design, from product formulation to packaging choices.

Material innovation plays a significant role in the realization of this design. The primary packaging utilizes sustainable glass from HEINZ-GLASS GROUP, a leader in eco-friendly solutions. Stainless steel caps are crafted by Taihang Technology Co., Ltd. and TRongsheng CNC Precision Engraving, while seaweed-based tubes from SWAY hint at future developments in sustainable packaging. The secondary packaging features Neenah Paper’s Classic Crest® Cover, chosen for its smooth finish and environmental credentials.

Addressing challenges in brand communication and consistency, the rebrand introduces a revised Product Detail Page (PDP) that clearly highlights the benefits of key ingredients. Expanding distribution beyond e-commerce to retail channels increases brand visibility, while a unified color scheme and in-house manufacturing reinforce quality and brand identity across all product lines.

This comprehensive rebrand has garnered significant recognition, earning the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2025. The accolade celebrates the project’s creative excellence, technical innovation, and its ability to evoke positive emotions and admiration within the industry.
