Situated within the Corasol community in the Riviera Maya, Secrets and Impression Moxche is a testament to the harmonious integration of cultural heritage, environmental stewardship, and contemporary design. Spanning 140,000 square meters, this expansive resort features 683 rooms and 14 restaurants, distributed across four main buildings. The design pays homage to Mayan traditions, with the entrance precisely aligned to the winter solstice, and utilizes local materials such as Mayan stone and ornamental wood to create a sense of place and authenticity.
The architectural vision behind Secrets and Impression Moxche is distinguished by its commitment to sustainability and functionality. Large-format glass panels maximize natural light, while native vegetation enhances privacy and supports local biodiversity. The resort’s layout optimizes guest flow through functional zoning, ensuring both intimacy and ease of movement despite the project’s grand scale. Notable features include a triple-height entrance with Mayan stone walls, a crescent-shaped building for optimal views, a rooftop wedding gazebo, a 500-seat theater, and a spa with 31 treatment cabins.
Innovation is at the core of the project’s realization. The use of Ceppo di Grey flooring, advanced energy-efficient systems, and rainwater conservation techniques underscores the resort’s eco-conscious approach. The design team, led by MAAR Arquitectura Humana and supported by specialists in master planning, interior design, and landscaping, conducted extensive research, including site analysis, cultural studies, and material testing. This rigorous process ensured the seamless integration of natural elements and modern luxury, setting a new standard for sustainable architecture in hospitality.
Guests at Secrets and Impression Moxche are treated to an immersive experience that blends nature, culture, and comfort. Hallways lined with native stone, restaurants offering panoramic views, and private relaxation areas foster a sense of tranquility and exclusivity. The inclusion of cenote-inspired pools, rooftop infinity pools, and a man-made beach pool further enhances the connection to the region’s natural beauty, while sustainable features such as natural ventilation and energy-efficient systems demonstrate a deep respect for the environment.
Secrets and Impression Moxche has garnered international recognition, including the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building, and Structure Design for 2025. This accolade highlights the project’s outstanding expertise, technical innovation, and artistic excellence. By harmonizing architecture and nature, MAAR Arquitectura Humana has set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality, inspiring future developments to embrace sustainability, cultural authenticity, and immersive guest experiences.
As the hospitality industry continues to evolve, Secrets and Impression Moxche exemplifies how thoughtful design can honor tradition, support sustainability, and deliver unparalleled luxury, offering a model for resorts worldwide seeking to blend innovation with cultural and environmental responsibility.
