Style Windsor Building stands as a testament to the power of cultural inspiration in contemporary residential design. Drawing from the rich legacy of the British royal family and iconic institutions such as Eton College, the project reimagines communal areas as essential, vibrant components of daily life. This approach challenges conventional notions, elevating shared spaces from mere afterthoughts to the heart of a sophisticated living experience.
The design, led by Kai Lin Lee, seamlessly blends Tudor architectural elements with modern aesthetics. The result is an environment that exudes both grandeur and warmth, offering residents a unique blend of historical reverence and contemporary comfort. Notably, the communal amenities—ranging from a luxurious living room and serene study to an upscale bar and elegant dining areas—are crafted to cater to diverse needs while maintaining a cohesive, high-end atmosphere.
One of the most striking features is the bar counter on the first floor, designed to evoke the bridge of a majestic ship. This centerpiece, elevated at the highest point of the slab, is adorned with imported crystal lamps and sumptuous stone surfaces, creating a VIP ambiance that welcomes both residents and guests. Such attention to detail underscores the project's commitment to delivering a truly immersive and memorable experience.
The Eaton Room further exemplifies the project's dedication to fostering community and celebrating culture. This open area integrates stylish furnishings, a curated library, and a self-playing piano, serving as a vibrant social hub. The space is designed to embody humanistic values and British cultural motifs, encouraging interaction and a strong sense of belonging among residents.
Throughout the building, classical long tables, art-adorned fireplace walls, and rustic white stone door frames add layers of timeless elegance. These elements, combined with modern sensibilities, create a harmonious balance that distinguishes the Style Windsor Building from conventional residential developments.
Completed in August 2024 in Taichung, Taiwan, and spanning approximately 1,959 square meters, the project has garnered international acclaim, including a Silver A' Design Award in 2025. This recognition highlights the project's exceptional expertise, technical excellence, and innovative approach to redefining communal living spaces.
Style Windsor Building sets a new benchmark for residential design by merging historical grandeur with modern functionality, ultimately offering residents an environment where elegance and community flourish.
