Flore: A Dreamlike Fusion of Glass and Floral Form

Jun Wang’s Flore Collection Redefines Modern Furniture with Ethereal Glass

Inspired by the gentle glow of morning light on petals, Jun Wang’s Flore collection transforms glass into an enchanting celebration of nature’s beauty, merging artistry and innovation in contemporary furniture design.

The Flore collection, designed by Jun Wang and a talented team, captures the poetic essence of a flower in bloom through the medium of gradient pink glass. Each piece—comprising a single-seat sofa and a side table—features soft, rounded forms that evoke the tranquility and organic grace of petals unfolding at dawn. The design’s luminous quality and gentle curves invite a sense of serenity, making Flore a striking centerpiece in any modern interior.

What distinguishes Flore is its seamless integration of art and function. The sofa’s enveloping shape offers a comforting retreat, while the side table serves as both a practical surface and a sculptural accent. The transparent glass construction, enhanced by a subtle gradient, creates a sense of lightness and fluidity. This ethereal presence transforms spaces, imbuing them with a tranquil, almost meditative atmosphere.

Flore’s realization is a testament to the mastery of Venetian glass craftsmanship. Each piece is handcrafted using advanced glass-blowing techniques, combining free-hand artistry with precise mold work. The gradient effect, achieved through meticulous layering, ensures a flawless transition of color, while an ingeniously integrated support structure provides stability without detracting from the design’s purity. The process required close collaboration with master artisans, blending traditional skills with modern innovation.

Functionality is at the heart of Flore’s appeal. The collection adapts effortlessly to various environments, whether bathed in natural light by a window or creating a cozy sanctuary in a quiet corner. The interplay of transparency and color allows the furniture to reflect and refract light, enhancing the ambiance of any room. When paired together, the sofa and table form a harmonious composition reminiscent of a flower in full bloom, inviting calm and beauty into everyday life.

The journey to create Flore involved extensive research and experimentation. Achieving the perfect gradient while maintaining the structural integrity of glass posed significant challenges. The design team innovated with traditional Venetian techniques, developing new methods to reinforce the delicate material. This dedication to craftsmanship and technical excellence earned Flore the Bronze A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award in 2025, recognizing its contribution to both design and quality of life.

Flore stands as a luminous example of how contemporary furniture can transcend utility, offering not just comfort but also an immersive sensory experience. Through its harmonious blend of artistry, technology, and nature-inspired form, Flore invites a renewed appreciation for the possibilities of glass in modern living spaces.
