Mark Han’s latest project, “Exquisiteness,” reimagines the modern residence as a gallery of personal history. Designed for a frequent-traveling entrepreneur, this 100-square-meter home in Taipei serves as a curated haven for souvenirs and treasures collected from around the world. Han’s vision was to create a space that not only displays these cherished items but also envelops its inhabitants in a sense of warmth and sophistication.

The interior’s defining feature is its extensive use of souffle color—a soft, mist-like palette that gently wraps the public areas in a comforting embrace. This choice, paired with clever lighting configurations, transforms the space into a luminous sanctuary. Metallic accents, strategically placed to catch the light, add a touch of contemporary flair, ensuring that the home feels both fashionable and inviting.

Attention to detail is evident throughout the project. Walls adorned with carvings and prints provide a dynamic backdrop for the homeowner’s collection, echoing the ambiance of an art gallery. The master bedroom, inspired by the owner’s favorite travel destinations, features a navy blue main wall with a metal frame, evoking a refined British atmosphere and infusing the space with vitality and character.
