Inspired by an initial sketch and the natural contours of the site, Valencia House was conceived to respect and integrate with its environment. The main structure is partially embedded into the terrain, minimizing its vertical presence and following the gentle slope of the land. Slender lines and pronounced horizontal elements balance the three-story volume, while panoramic views and strategic overlays of building blocks ensure both harmony with the landscape and functional living spaces.
Located in the tranquil countryside, the house is designed to foster family togetherness and a direct connection with nature. Expansive, permeable social areas blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, promoting a seamless flow throughout the residence. Seven suites, a pool, and a gym provide ample space for relaxation and recreation, while the layout ensures privacy and comfort for every family member.
The material palette was carefully selected for both durability and aesthetic appeal. Natural stone, exposed concrete, lime beton, and wooden slats define the exterior, lending a rustic yet contemporary character. The pool, clad in natural Hijau stone, echoes the surrounding landscape. Structurally, reinforced concrete provides stability, while a metal framework supports generous openings and lighter architectural volumes, optimizing efficiency and enhancing the connection to the outdoors.
Valencia House’s realization required adapting initial concepts to meet technical and practical demands. While the core design principles remained, refinements in materialization and detailing were essential for successful execution. The result is a residence that not only meets the clients’ aspirations for comfort, beauty, and integration with nature but also stands as a model of contextual and cultural authenticity.
Recognized with the Platinum A' Design Award in 2025, Valencia House exemplifies world-class innovation in architecture. The project advances the boundaries of design by merging aesthetic excellence with environmental sensitivity, setting a new standard for luxury homes that celebrate both family life and the natural world.
Valencia House by Lucas Padovani demonstrates how thoughtful design can elevate everyday living, offering inspiration for future projects that seek to harmonize architecture with the landscape. As contemporary lifestyles increasingly value both connection and retreat, this residence serves as a blueprint for integrating comfort, sustainability, and artistry.
