Drawing inspiration from centuries-old Persian architecture, Taravat Villa stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of cultural heritage and environmental responsibility. The design features intricate tilework and arched openings, honoring the region’s artistic legacy while embracing modern ecological principles. Green spaces are woven throughout the villa, reflecting a commitment to urban biodiversity and sustainable living.
What distinguishes Taravat Villa is its fusion of traditional craftsmanship with innovative technology. The façade, adorned with locally sourced ceramics, showcases Persian artistry, while AI-assisted design tools played a pivotal role in refining spatial dynamics and optimizing environmental performance. This approach ensures that every element, from natural ventilation to passive cooling, serves both aesthetic and functional purposes.
The villa’s construction utilizes eco-friendly materials such as recycled concrete and low-carbon steel, underscoring a dedication to sustainability. Smart climate control systems and passive solar design further enhance energy efficiency, while water-saving landscaping with native plants supports local biodiversity. These features collectively create a comfortable, resilient living environment tailored to the region’s climate.
Spanning 500 square meters on a 1,000-square-meter site, the villa’s layout encourages seamless interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. A central courtyard acts as the heart of the home, providing shade and natural cooling. Large windows and double-height spaces maximize daylight and airflow, reducing reliance on mechanical systems and fostering a strong connection with nature.
Extensive research underpins the project, including climate analysis, material testing, and case studies on passive cooling. The use of AI technology enabled precise adaptation to local conditions, balancing ornamental tradition with cutting-edge sustainability. Overcoming the challenge of integrating heritage with innovation, the design sets a benchmark for climate-responsive residential architecture in the region.
Recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2025, Taravat Villa exemplifies how thoughtful design can elevate both quality of life and environmental stewardship. This project not only preserves the beauty of Persian architecture but also paves the way for future-forward, eco-conscious living.
