Unico distinguishes itself through its six integrated functions. Beyond serving as a drip-free pourer, flow reducer, and instant wine aerator, it introduces three exclusive features: Easy Open, which allows users to open and close the bottle without removal; Safety Stop, a pioneering system that seals the bottle if tipped; and a smart stand with NFC technology, granting access to curated wine content via smartphone. These innovations set a new benchmark in wine accessory design, combining practicality with digital interactivity.

The realization of Unico involved advanced engineering and digital fabrication, utilizing SLS 3D printing to craft its intricate geometries. Materials such as PA12 nylon, food-grade silicone, stainless steel, and neodymium magnets ensure durability and performance. The use of 3D printing not only reduces production waste by over 40% compared to traditional methods but also allows for rapid customization, catering to unique preferences and small batch production.

Functionality is at the core of Unico’s design. The stopper operates with a simple half-turn mechanism for effortless pouring and resealing, while the Safety Stop feature activates automatically in case of accidental tipping. Full disassembly is possible for deep cleaning, including dishwasher compatibility. The integrated NFC stand transforms the accessory into a digital gateway, offering expertly curated, AI-enhanced wine content with a simple tap of a smartphone.

Unico’s journey began in Florence in December 2023 and quickly garnered recognition, including a nomination for the Compasso d’Oro 2026 and a win at the 2025 Global Design Awards in Hong Kong. Extensive research, including market analysis, user testing, and collaboration with sommeliers, informed its development. The result is a product that balances aesthetics and functionality, setting a new standard in contemporary wine accessories.
