Striking white architecture redefines tourism in Huangshan City

Misoohi Resort distinguishes itself through a deliberate contrast with the region’s iconic Huizhou architectural style. The design employs an expansive white palette and sculptural forms, integrating classical arrayed arches to create a visually arresting presence. This bold approach not only challenges stereotypes but also positions the resort as a new benchmark for local tourism, inviting visitors to experience a fresh perspective on Huangshan’s cultural landscape.

The exterior’s striking white tones pay homage to Huizhou traditions while drawing inspiration from the multicultural influences of China’s coastal regions. From a distance, the structure resembles a white castle descending into the mountain forests, harmoniously contextualized yet undeniably novel. This visual distinctiveness has quickly established Misoohi as a scenic landmark and a sought-after backdrop for social media photography.

Realized through innovative construction methods, the renovation utilized a robust steel structure and prefabricated concrete panels, finished with waterproof paint to accommodate the building’s large-scale curved design. The seamless 50-meter-long facade, interrupted only by a single stylistic division, exemplifies the integration of aesthetic ambition with construction simplicity. This meticulous attention to detail ensures the resort’s unique style is faithfully rendered.

Spanning approximately 4,500 square meters on a 7-mu (about 4,667㎡) site, Misoohi offers a comprehensive retreat from urban life. Amenities include an al fresco coffee zone, infinity pool, tea-and-literature pavilion, and versatile spaces for photography, film shoots, and special events. The connective corridors between exterior and interior maintain stylistic coherence, enhancing the immersive guest experience and reinforcing the resort’s reputation as a photogenic hotspot.

The project’s completion in January 2024 marks a significant contribution to Huangshan’s tourism industry.
