Inspired by the rolling hills and verdant scenery of Zekeriyaköy, the Jaqalan villas embody a harmonious relationship between architecture and nature. The project’s vision centers on redefining modern living by integrating eco-friendly materials and solutions, such as sloped roofs for efficient rainwater management and solar panel integration. This approach not only enhances the villas’ visual appeal but also addresses environmental concerns, setting a new benchmark for sustainable luxury homes.
Jaqalan’s unique character is evident in its dynamic forms and bold sloped roofs, which seamlessly blend with the surrounding landscape. The use of concrete and metal, coupled with advanced modular construction techniques, ensures both structural integrity and minimal environmental impact. Expansive glass facades invite natural light, fostering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces and offering residents panoramic views of the natural surroundings.
The villas are designed to encourage social interaction and a sense of openness. Open floor plans, large terraces, and balconies create inviting spaces for gatherings, while high ceilings and strategically placed windows enhance comfort and ventilation. The sloped roofs not only serve a functional purpose but also create dramatic interior volumes, contributing to the villas’ distinctive identity.
Technical specifications highlight the project’s scale and ambition: two villas, one spanning 1,000 square meters with five bedrooms and another at 400 square meters with three bedrooms, both rising to approximately seven meters in height. The thoughtful placement on a sloped lot ensures unobstructed views and optimal integration with the landscape, leveraging the natural terrain for both aesthetic and practical benefits.
Jaqalan’s development journey involved overcoming significant challenges, including navigating local building codes and sourcing sustainable materials. Extensive research, site analyses, and community engagement informed the design, ensuring that the villas not only meet contemporary lifestyle needs but also promote well-being and environmental stewardship. The project’s success is underscored by its recognition with the Silver A' Design Award, celebrating its technical excellence and innovative spirit.
Jaqalan exemplifies how thoughtful design can elevate residential architecture, merging minimalism, sustainability, and contextual harmony. As a model for future developments, it demonstrates that luxury and environmental responsibility can coexist, inspiring a new era of conscious living in urban landscapes.
