One Verdi Park: Redefining Bucharest’s Urban Skyline

Mixed-use high-rise sets new standards in sustainable city living

One Verdi Park, designed by X Architecture and Engineering Consult, stands as a transformative landmark in Bucharest, blending architectural innovation, sustainability, and adaptive reuse to create a sophisticated urban environment.

One Verdi Park emerges as a striking addition to Bucharest’s evolving cityscape, reflecting the city’s dynamic transformation and the growing demand for integrated urban living. Conceived during a period of global uncertainty, the project’s design was notably influenced by the pandemic, prompting a pivotal shift from an office-centric scheme to a residential-led development. This adaptive approach not only addressed immediate market needs but also set a precedent for flexibility in large-scale architecture.

The development comprises two elegant towers that host high-end residences, offices, and retail spaces, seamlessly merging luxury with functionality. A bold structural system of reinforced concrete ensures stability and efficiency, while a ventilated façade with a white fiber cement finish delivers both durability and refined aesthetics. High-performance glazing enhances acoustic comfort and energy efficiency, underscoring the project’s commitment to sustainable design.

Spanning a total constructed area of 42,470 square meters, One Verdi Park leverages advanced construction technologies, including BIM methodologies and modular prefabrication, to optimize coordination and minimize waste. The integration of green terraces and shared spaces fosters a vibrant sense of community, while panoramic views and abundant natural light elevate the living experience. The towers’ connection via a sky garden and retail platform further enhances urban connectivity and accessibility.

Research played a crucial role in shaping the project, with insights from architects, engineers, and urban planners guiding decisions on energy efficiency, structural innovation, and user experience. The result is a future-ready development that not only enhances city living but also contributes to Bucharest’s real estate value and urban identity. The project’s adaptive reuse—transforming an office tower into residential apartments mid-construction—demonstrates a resourceful response to shifting societal needs.

One Verdi Park’s achievements have been recognized internationally, earning the Bronze A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2025 for its creative ingenuity and positive impact on quality of life. The development stands as a benchmark for contemporary city living, offering a harmonious blend of luxury, sustainability, and urban integration that redefines what it means to live and work in Bucharest.

As cities worldwide seek resilient and adaptable solutions for the future, One Verdi Park exemplifies how thoughtful design can shape not only skylines but also the daily lives of residents and professionals, setting new standards for mixed-use developments in the heart of urban environments.
