Jo’s visual identity, crafted by A4DH Branding Services, transforms the dining experience through playful graphics and a contemporary aesthetic, setting a new standard for restaurant branding.

Jo, a cafe and restaurant brand based in Tehran, has reimagined its identity with a design that celebrates the art of dining. A4DH Branding Services drew inspiration from the essential elements of the dining experience—food ingredients, tableware, and restaurant objects—to create a visual language that tells a cohesive and engaging story. This approach not only enhances brand recognition but also builds an immersive brand world where every graphic element serves a narrative purpose.

The logotype for Jo stands out with its clean yet playful form, reflecting a balance between simplicity and adventure. Green, chosen as the primary brand color, symbolizes the brand’s commitment to freshness, sustainability, and growth. According to A4DH Branding Services, this color choice aligns perfectly with Jo’s values, emphasizing wholesome, quality food and a progressive outlook. The result is a visual identity that feels both inviting and forward-thinking.

Technically, the design combines organic shapes with structured elements, creating a dynamic contrast that mirrors the brand’s philosophy of balance. This interplay is evident across all brand touchpoints, from packaging crafted with materials like kraft paper and cardboard to digital and print applications. The cohesive use of illustrative graphics and modern typography ensures that Jo’s brand remains memorable and engaging for a diverse audience.

Research and development for the project focused on redefining fine dining as a celebration of taste, connection, and shared moments. The design team faced the challenge of appealing to a wide demographic—children, parents, and grandparents—without losing authenticity or sophistication. By centering the identity on flavor diversity and emotional connection, Jo creates an inclusive atmosphere where every guest feels special.

Jo’s rebranding project, completed between September and November 2024 and launched in January 2025, has already garnered recognition. The design was awarded Bronze at the A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2025, a testament to its ingenuity and contribution to quality of life improvements through art and design.

Jo’s new identity demonstrates how thoughtful design can elevate the dining experience, making it not just about food, but about connection, storytelling, and memorable moments.
