The Double Moon wall lamp, designed by Alexey Danilin for Maytoni, draws its concept from a unique astronomical occurrence: the temporary capture of a second moon by Earth in 2024. This rare event, known as the "Double Moon" phenomenon, served as the creative spark for a collection that blends scientific wonder with refined aesthetics. Celestial bodies have long influenced the creation of artificial light, and this design continues that tradition by translating cosmic inspiration into functional art.

What sets the Double Moon collection apart is its ability to evoke a sense of mystery and elegance through advanced lighting techniques. Hidden LED lights are embedded within a sleek metal base on both sides, diffused by matte covers to produce a gentle, ambient glow. The lamp’s glass spheres, finished with a mirrored tinted gradient, reflect and scatter light to create mesmerizing patterns on surrounding walls, while producing subtle highlights on the glass itself. This interplay of light and reflection transforms any space into a visual experience reminiscent of cosmic phenomena.
