A combination of coarse and fine grinding achieved a smooth finish and natural edge transitions. The central diamond is secured with four prongs to maximize brilliance, while the micro pave setting of the side stones ensures visual continuity and a seamless flow of light.

User comfort and customization were also central to the design. The inner curve of the shank is engineered to fit the finger perfectly, with rounded edges to prevent discomfort. The ring’s size can be tailored to individual preferences, making it suitable for a wide range of wearers. The project, initiated in Hong Kong in December 2022 and completed by March 2023, culminated in the ring’s launch at physical stores in April 2023. Overcoming the challenge of translating Van Gogh’s swirling sky into a three-dimensional form, the team’s use of advanced setting techniques and modular construction represents a significant leap in jewelry design, moving beyond traditional forms and methods.

Recognition for this achievement came swiftly, with the Starry Night diamond ring receiving the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2025.
