The Recruitment Communication project by 5 Senses Design draws inspiration from Tencent’s slogan, “Join Tencent. Impact the world.” The visual centerpiece—a figure representing the candidate and a central sphere symbolizing the world—captures the essence of individual influence in the digital era. Expanding ripples illustrate how Tencent empowers young talent to extend their reach globally, aligning with the company’s forward-thinking ethos.
Distinctive for its futuristic and vibrant aesthetic, the campaign leverages 3D elements, dynamic layouts, and bold color schemes to reflect Tencent’s innovative spirit. The design’s gamification aspects and interactive features create a memorable brand experience, resonating with university students and recent graduates. Consistency across digital and print platforms ensures a unified presence, enhancing engagement on social media, recruitment portals, and offline events.
Realization of the project involved advanced tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, and After Effects. Initial sketches and demos evolved into textured 3D visuals and animated sequences, offering a seamless, dynamic presentation. The design’s adaptability allowed it to span eight business groups and two departments, maintaining brand coherence while catering to diverse audiences.
Research conducted by 5 Senses Design included analysis of recruitment visuals from ten leading internet companies, revealing that innovative, dynamic, and 3D graphics significantly influence job seekers’ perceptions. Insights from over 100,000 users guided the design direction, emphasizing the importance of visual appeal and clarity in recruitment communications.
Despite challenges such as tight timelines and the need for cross-departmental adaptability, the team delivered a solution that balanced creativity with technical excellence. The use of interactive animations, ripple effects, and perspective shifts captivated users, resulting in over 100,000 views and 1,000 positive comments. The campaign’s success was further recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in 2025, highlighting its remarkable expertise and innovation.
