Royal Residence stands as a testament to the harmonious fusion of past and present, drawing on the rich architectural heritage of Erdemli while embracing contemporary design principles. S.A.I.T. Studio’s vision for this residential complex centers on enhancing quality of life through a thoughtful balance of privacy, community, and connection to nature. The project’s inspiration stems from ancient civilizations, with design elements such as arches and columns echoing the region’s Roman, Hittite, and Byzantine influences. This historical nod is seamlessly integrated with modern amenities and sustainable features, setting a new standard for urban living.

Covering a built area of 41,000 square meters on a 23,000 square meter site, Royal Residence comprises two 13-story towers and one 7-story tower, offering 200 apartments, including 29 garden duplex villas. Each residence is designed to maximize sea views, while communal amenities include a 2,200 square meter seawater pool, a 350-meter adventure water canal, and a 200 square meter thermal pool. The landscape is enhanced by dynamic lighting that responds to the wind, creating a unique sensory experience for residents.

Advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology underpins the project’s realization, ensuring precise coordination of structural, mechanical, and architectural systems. The use of sustainable materials—such as energy-efficient glass and eco-friendly insulation—supports the complex’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Smart home systems enable residents to control lighting, temperature, and security remotely, while green roofs and water-efficient systems further reduce the environmental footprint.

Research for Royal Residence focused on integrating luxury, sustainability, and functionality. Site analysis, environmental studies, and user behavior research informed the design, resulting in enhanced energy efficiency and improved social interaction. The project’s layout encourages seamless movement between private and communal spaces, fostering a sense of community while maintaining individual privacy. Amenities such as sports courts, wellness areas, and expansive social zones promote a balanced and active lifestyle.

Overcoming challenges related to local climate, building regulations, and the integration of advanced technologies required innovative solutions and close collaboration with experts.
