Inspired by the homeowners’ refined tastes and the villa’s serene forest location, Aynur Kirduk envisioned a space where classical details and loft architecture coexist. The design draws on a warm, natural color palette, integrating contemporary accents and curated artworks to create a bright, airy atmosphere. Art Deco touches and bespoke furniture further distinguish the interiors, offering a unique blend of elegance and individuality.
The villa’s three-story layout is thoughtfully planned to maximize both function and comfort. The top floor features an office, bar, and cinema corner, while the basement houses a dedicated music studio with advanced sound insulation. The winter garden, adorned with natural textures, provides a tranquil retreat. Expansive glass facades characteristic of the loft style flood the interiors with daylight, enhancing the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Material selection plays a pivotal role in the villa’s ambiance. Mazzaro Hungarian laminate wood and Alexander Black marble grace the floors, complemented by off-white lacquer finishes and a striking Helena Calacatta marble fireplace. Bespoke furniture, crafted from natural wood veneers and velvet fabrics, underscores the commitment to luxury and comfort. An automated irrigation system and custom landscaping ensure the outdoor areas are as meticulously designed as the interiors.
Technical innovation is evident throughout the project. Each floor boasts a generous 3.5-meter ceiling height, while custom acoustic treatments in the music studio cater to the homeowner’s creative pursuits. The villa’s design process, spanning over a year, involved overcoming significant challenges, such as reconfiguring staircases for cohesive flow and implementing advanced insulation after a basement flood. These solutions highlight the project’s adaptability and resilience.
The Istanbul Kasaba villa is not only a testament to functional and aesthetic excellence but also a celebration of Turkish artistry. Works by artists including Zeynep Inal Engin, Atalay Koseoglu, Kazım Borna, and Fuat Ozsozer enrich the living spaces, adding cultural depth and meaning. This holistic approach earned the project the Bronze A' Design Award in 2025, recognizing its innovative integration of art, science, and lifestyle design.
By uniting modern luxury with natural harmony, Aynur Kirduk’s Istanbul Kasaba villa sets a new standard for personalized living. The project exemplifies how thoughtful design and creative problem-solving can transform a residence into a timeless, functional, and inspiring home.
