Vision K: Redefining the Future of Intuitive Driving

Deniz Kurtcepe’s concept car blends AI, ergonomics, and life-centric design

Vision K, designed by Deniz Kurtcepe, introduces a new era of automotive innovation by merging advanced human-machine interface technology with a user-focused approach, inspired by the natural elegance of wind-shaped rock formations.

Vision K stands out in the world of concept vehicles by prioritizing a seamless connection between driver and machine. Drawing inspiration from wind-sculpted monoliths, the car’s aerodynamic silhouette is not only visually striking but also engineered for optimal performance. Extensive research involving over 200 drivers revealed the limitations of traditional dashboards, prompting the integration of no-look controls and an optimized human-machine interface (HMI) that minimizes distractions and enhances safety.

The vehicle’s unique design philosophy centers on intuitive usability. Vision K features real-time data integration and tactile, no-look controls, allowing drivers to operate essential functions without diverting their attention from the road. The AI-powered cockpit adapts to individual preferences, streamlining information and reducing cognitive load. This hybrid system, combining digital and physical interfaces, sets a new standard for ergonomic and user-centered automotive design.

Advanced technologies underpin every aspect of Vision K’s realization. The development process utilized 3D modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and ergonomic simulations to perfect the monolithic structure and ensure aerodynamic efficiency. Lightweight composite materials contribute to the car’s performance, while the HMI system incorporates adaptive displays and haptic feedback for a responsive and engaging driving experience.

Technical specifications reflect Vision K’s commitment to innovation. With dimensions of 1900mm in width, 4800mm in length, and 1400mm in height, the car presents a low, streamlined profile. The fully digital cockpit is enhanced by AI-driven customization, and strategically placed physical buttons with haptic feedback ensure critical actions are both accessible and safe. These features are the result of rigorous user testing and iterative prototyping across Europe and North America.

Vision K’s development journey addressed significant challenges, particularly the balance between digital advancement and user familiarity. By analyzing driver behavior and employing methodologies such as eye-tracking and reaction time assessments, the design team refined the interface to deliver a harmonious blend of automation and driver control. The result is a concept car that not only advances automotive technology but also places human experience at its core.

Recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2025, Vision K exemplifies excellence in car and land-based motor vehicle design. Deniz Kurtcepe’s creation is a testament to the power of research-driven innovation, setting a new benchmark for safety, usability, and aesthetic achievement in the automotive industry.
