Seer Robotics, designed by Fan Wu, introduces a new era in industrial automation by combining advanced AI, adaptive design, and robust engineering to address the challenges of an aging workforce and the demand for safer, more efficient labor solutions.

As industries worldwide grapple with productivity pressures and an aging population, the need for intelligent, multifunctional robots has never been greater. Seer Robotics responds to this call with a wheeled humanoid robot that seamlessly transitions between movement and work modes, optimizing performance across diverse scenarios. The robot’s dual-posture configuration allows it to lower its stance for rapid mobility—reaching speeds up to 10 m/s—and elevate itself for intricate task execution, thanks to a multi-degree-of-freedom arm and hand system.

Constructed from durable aluminum alloys and PEEK materials, Seer Robotics is engineered to withstand extreme industrial environments, from steel smelting plants to hot climates. The robot’s laser sensor is equipped with a defogging coating, ensuring reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 60°C. This resilience is complemented by a modular design, enabling quick assembly and replacement of hardware components such as gripping arms and cameras, and facilitating maintenance through transparent arm joints and controllers.

Interaction with Seer Robotics is intuitive and flexible. Tasks can be assigned via natural language or a dedicated app, after which the system generates a 3D semantic map of its environment. The robot navigates autonomously, avoiding obstacles and adapting its actions based on real-time data. This adaptability is powered by an extensive AI database, built on over a decade of industrial robotics research, which documents dynamic path planning, non-standard grasping techniques, and adaptive responses to complex conditions.

Seer Robotics stands out for its commitment to continuous self-learning and operational efficiency. The robot’s robust geometric design not only conveys stability and strength but also embodies a mechanical and futuristic aesthetic. Its transparent and modular features streamline maintenance, while its AI-driven adaptability ensures ongoing improvement in performance and task generalization.

The project, developed in Shanghai from January to August 2024 and showcased at the Shanghai International Industry Fair, has already garnered significant recognition. Seer Robotics was awarded Silver in the 2025 A' Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Award, a testament to its technical excellence, innovative artistry, and positive impact on the future of industrial automation.
