HG Holding Headquarters: Redefining the Modern Office Space

Warmth and Efficiency Meet in Contemporary Turkish Office Design

The HG Holding Headquarters by Cihat Elmas - Quark Studio Architects in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, challenges traditional notions of institutional architecture by blending operational efficiency with a welcoming, human-centered environment.

HG Holding Headquarters stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of office architecture, where user experience and operational flow are given equal priority. The building’s program is meticulously organized across four levels, each zone tailored to specific functional requirements. This hierarchy of spaces is not merely about separation; it is a deliberate strategy to enhance productivity and subtly guide the user’s journey through the environment. The result is a headquarters that supports both focused work and collaborative engagement.

Departing from the often-sterile aesthetic of conventional office buildings, the design embraces warmth and comfort. Spanning 1,790 square meters, the headquarters features open-plan workstations, four conference halls, a dedicated management area, and inviting waiting zones. The architectural language is defined by a harmonious interplay of clean lines and gentle curves, creating a balance between structure and softness. The reception area, with its calming blue backdrop and sleek desk, sets the tone for a serene and professional atmosphere upon entry.

Material selection plays a crucial role in shaping the building’s identity. Rather than defaulting to clinical finishes, the design incorporates a curated palette of textures and tones. Subtle variations in grey carpeting delineate workspaces while providing tactile comfort, and vibrant, patterned carpets in the conference halls inject energy and visual interest. Natural oak textures and earth-toned hues reference biophilic design principles, fostering a sense of connection to nature and promoting well-being, even in the absence of extensive greenery.

The construction leverages a robust concrete system, with the façade clad in glass and aluminum composite panels. This combination not only ensures structural integrity but also allows for abundant natural light, enhancing the sense of openness throughout the interior. The ongoing project, initiated in 2024, reflects a commitment to integrating advanced building technologies with thoughtful spatial planning.

HG Holding Headquarters exemplifies a shift towards user-centered design in corporate architecture. By prioritizing comfort, psychological well-being, and operational efficiency, the project sets a new standard for office environments in Turkey and beyond. The building’s recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in 2025 underscores its innovative approach and contribution to improving quality of life through design.

As workplaces continue to evolve, HG Holding Headquarters offers a compelling blueprint for future office developments—one where human experience and architectural excellence go hand in hand.
