Inspired by half a century of Italian coffee tradition, Olha Takhtarova’s packaging design for Sergio Dalla Riva blends timeless elegance with contemporary sophistication, offering both aesthetic appeal and informative functionality.

The Sergio Dalla Riva coffee packaging stands as a testament to the enduring influence of Italian coffee culture. Drawing on 50 years of tradition, the design pays homage to the brand’s roots while embracing modern visual language. Classic Italian aesthetics are reflected in the use of a matte black backdrop, gold accents, and the Italian tricolor, all of which evoke a sense of luxury and authenticity. The inclusion of the “Maestro del Caffè” title and the founder’s signature adds a personal narrative, reinforcing the brand’s storied heritage.

Distinctive features set this packaging apart in a crowded market. The matte black finish signifies both quality and legacy, while gold foil stamping and blend-specific color accents highlight the premium nature of the product. Informative elements such as taste profile charts, roast strength scales, and brewing instructions are thoughtfully integrated, ensuring that the packaging is not only visually striking but also user-friendly for coffee enthusiasts seeking detailed product knowledge.

Technological innovation underpins the realization of this design. Premium laminated flexible materials are used for pouches, while capsule boxes are constructed from sturdy cardboard.
