Wepop, a sugar-free fruity sparkling water, is a unique beverage product that combines health, taste, and art in a single package. Designed by Tiger Pan, the packaging of this product is a visual treat, inspired by pop art and pixelated typography, making it a standout in the beverage market.

The inspiration behind Wepop's design stems from the concept of pop art and pixelated typography. Each character on the packaging is split and designed separately, with each stroke representing a different building block. This approach infuses the packaging with a playful, child-like charm, while also offering a wide range of applications and combinations. The packaging is further enhanced with eye-catching illustrations of fruits, rendered in a pop art style, and vibrant, contrasting colors to represent the four different flavors.

What sets Wepop apart from other beverages in the market is its focus on health and taste. With the increasing rate of obesity, there is a growing demand for healthy, sugar-free beverages that do not compromise on taste. Wepop, produced by a local Chinese beverage brand, caters to this demand, offering a refreshing, fruity, and sugar-free alternative to conventional sparkling waters.

The design of Wepop was realized using a PET bottle, reshaped into a distinct, simple, and fashionable form. The bottle narrows towards the top, and a silk-screen matte film is used to provide a stable holding experience and a better feel. The color printing and number are strictly controlled to ensure a high-quality display of the product.

The design process for Wepop was a two-month project, carried out in Shenzhen and produced in Foshan, Guangdong. The design team, led by Tiger Pan, included Yuxuan He, Niejun Guan, and Qiyuan Xiao. The team faced the challenge of creating a unique package that would surprise and appeal to the target consumers, while also rejuvenating the brand. The result is a product that not only enriches the brand's product series but also fits into the popular and young consuming background.

Wepop's design has been recognized for its creativity and innovation, winning the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise, innovation, and technical excellence, and Wepop's design certainly fits the bill. With its youthful and eye-catching look, Wepop is set to make a lasting impression in the market.
