The Fragrance Lamp is the result of Ghit's exploration into creating new materials that emanate natural perfume, color, and texture. By experimenting with ecological materials, Ghit aims to make a social and environmental impact in the design industry. The lamp is a testament to her commitment to sustainability and sensory design.

What sets the Fragrance Lamp apart is its use of a new material infused with the natural essence of lavender flowers. Inspired by the principles of aromatherapy, the lamp emits a soothing fragrance that retains the properties of the lavender buds, even in their preserved state. This unique feature creates a truly immersive sensory experience.

The lamp is crafted using a combination of lavender seeds and recycled pulp wood paste, which is based on cellulose. This sustainable alternative allows for easy manipulation and modeling, resulting in a lamp that is 85-90% lavender seeds and 10-15% wood paste. The lavender used in the lamp is sourced from a field near the Romanian city of Alba Iulia.

The Fragrance Lamp is available in three different radius sizes, each with a base finished in curve cuts that correspond to the size. The presented size measures H 400 mm x W 360 mm, making it a striking addition to any space.

Interacting with the Fragrance Lamp is a sensory delight. Simply touch it to feel its unique texture and take in the natural fragrance. For an intensified perfume experience, users can choose to use water lavender essence when the light is off. The lamp also allows users to select their preferred light bulb, with warm light enhancing the fragrance without the need for water essence.

The Fragrance Lamp project took four months from the initial sketches to production. It was officially presented at the Romanian Design Week in May 2019 and later exhibited at Sensoria - The Exhibition at Cluj Design Days and Timisoara Design Days in Romania. The lamp has garnered recognition and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 for its sustainable and innovative design.
