Chanson: A Unique Residential House Design

An Elegant Blend of Colors and Materials

The sideboard cabinet and dining cabinet in Chanson perfectly complement each other with their black and white matching colors. This merging of functions maintains the essence of an elegant space. To further enhance the dining area, gold trim and bright pink velvet dining chairs are added, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a coffee shop afternoon tea. The visual and spatial interaction within the space is intriguing, extending from the inside out.

Chanson's design is realized through careful placement of the public space on the same axis, visually connecting each area. This not only maintains a cohesive visual level but also allows for versatile use of the space, while playing with light and shadow.

With dimensions of 85 square meters, Chanson is a compact yet thoughtfully designed residential house that maximizes its functionality and aesthetics.

One of the standout features of Chanson is the use of transparent vitreous brick in the porch area. As one passes through the porch, the bright natural light filters through the brick, creating a visual feast for the eyes.

The design of Chanson was completed in 2019 after extensive research and communication with the residents. The aim was to create a space that truly meets their needs and enhances their daily lives.

Challenges in the design process were overcome with creative solutions. The TV wall, for example, features a special natural texture with a shallow wooden texture, adding a touch of warmth and tranquility to the space. The sofa wall is adorned with colorful mottled texture tiles, resembling a painting that adds vibrancy and vitality to the calm surroundings.

Chanson, designed by Yi Chun Chung, is a testament to the harmonious blend of colors, materials, and functionality. It has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award is a testament to the practicality and innovation of Chanson, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
