Vermont Hills: A Contemporary Mountain Residence

Embracing Chinese and Western Art and Culture

Located on the outskirts of Beijing, Vermont Hills Townhouse is a villa model that combines contemporary art and oriental living aesthetics. Designed by Lei Dong and his team, this project embraces the natural beauty of the Yanshan Mountains and creates a residence that integrates Chinese and western art and culture.

The inspiration for Vermont Hills comes from the Chinese literati's love for mountains and water. The designers aimed to create a humanistic mountain residence that reflects contemporary art and oriental living aesthetics. The rare natural environment with clean water at the foot of the Yanshan Mountains provided the perfect setting for this unique project.

What sets Vermont Hills apart is its ability to fully express the contemporary art spirit and oriental life aesthetics through its soft outfit design. The villa model combines Chinese and western art and culture, creating a space that exudes warmth and depth of culture. The interior decoration incorporates materials such as marble, woodstone, and copper, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans to depict scenes of mountains and water. This not only manifests the natural texture but also carries time-honored cultural implications.

The realization of Vermont Hills involved the use of environmentally friendly materials. The furniture and lamps are detachable for cyclic utilization, ensuring sustainability. The ground floor space features a blend of classic charm and modern decorations, with brown and white hues creating a harmonious atmosphere.

With a total area of 450 square meters, Vermont Hills offers a spacious and elegant living environment. Each space within the villa has its own distinctive personality, thanks to the incorporation of different artwork forms and meanings. The designers have successfully created a context for art collection and display, connecting the overall temperament of the space.

The project, which was completed in May 2019 in Beijing, presented several challenges. Designed for a large family of three generations, the space needed to accommodate different preferences and personalities while maintaining a cohesive overall style. The introduction of outdoor natural scenery and light and shadow effects into the rooms helped overcome these challenges, resulting in a harmonious and visually stunning design.

Vermont Hills Townhouse has been recognized for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.

Experience the contemporary mountain lifestyle at Vermont Hills, where art, culture, and nature seamlessly blend to create a truly unique and inspiring living space.
