Nirvana Brand: A Harmonious Corporate Identity

Creating Balance and Self-Knowledge Through Design

The referential symbology seeks to bring the representativeness of the Nirvana brand project through the infinity symbol, which seeks continuity, and through the meditative position symbol which brings the sense of balance. After obtaining the initial result with the first symbol, we tried to create a more organic shape that would bring a balance conetcion as a group, just as it is a large part of the Nirvana project, which is also collective.

This identity and brand project, designed by Viana Patricio Barbosa Neto, was developed in Brazil for a space dedicated to meditation and holistic therapies. It stands out for its simplicity in using geometric shapes that represent the proposal of balance and self-knowledge. The logo incorporates symbols such as the infinity symbol, the lotus flower, and the meditative position, all of which are references to the practice of meditation. The color palette includes a deep wine color inspired by Buddhist garments and a touch of yellow reminiscent of the ornaments used in monasteries.

In the creation process, simple geometric shapes were used and a grid system was applied to achieve symmetry. The result is a clean, functional, and organic symbology that can be easily scaled to different sizes without losing quality. The logo was designed using a vector editing software, allowing for versatility in its application across various media, materials, and objects.

The project, which began in April 2020 and concluded in June 2020, involved extensive research on elements and symbols related to meditation, Buddhism, and Ayurveda culture. The aim was to create a brand that captures the essence of the Nirvana space. Overcoming the challenge of producing something original yet not overly complex, the design team dedicated significant time to exploring geometric shapes and ensuring the brand's symmetry and harmony.

The Nirvana brand project has been recognized for its excellence, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in 2021 in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The brand's ability to integrate industry best practices and exhibit competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world by providing fulfillment and evoking positive feelings.
