Revolutionizing Tea Packaging with Eco-Friendly Design and Artistic Flair

The design's unique properties lie in its representation of the tea mountain's original ecological landscape. The contour tea mountain shape, made from BC pit corrugated paper, serves as the base of the ancient tea tree. The outer box of the contour tea tray is integrated into one shape, made from F-flute corrugated paper laminated with F-flute single face corrugated paper. This innovative design can be reused as a small bonsai to decorate the environment, emphasizing the importance of recycling and environmental protection.

The packaging material is not only eco-friendly but also cost-effective, reducing the cost by 40% compared to traditional packaging. The design team has made significant efforts to minimize large area printing and excessive use of technology, focusing instead on corrugated paper series material and coarse fiber special paper printing for plane patterns. The result is a packaging design that is both artistic and practical, well-received by customers and consumers alike.

The design project, which began in Wuzhou, Guangxi province, in December 2019, was completed in Shenzhen in February 2020. It was exhibited at the Shenzhen Spring Tea Fair in May 2020. Despite the challenges of forming the tea mountain shape through layer-by-layer superposition of corrugated paper, the design team managed to achieve a realistic effect of tea mountain, which can be reused as a small bonsai to decorate office or tea room.

Alpine Ancient Trees is not just a packaging design; it is a statement about returning to nature and seeking the true self. It advocates for a leisurely and slow-paced lifestyle, a unity of nature and man. This design has been recognized for its outstanding expertise and innovation, winning the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2021.

The intellectual property rights of this package are reserved by Guangxi Liabaoju Tea Co., LTD. The main image of the design was captured by photographer Xiaobin Li, with Xingguo Li as the designer and Shilin Huang as the packaging structure designer.
