Emotion Recording Studio: A Fusion of Art and Space

Interior Design Excellence: Lingjuan Lv's Award-Winning Photography Studio

Immerse in the world of Lingjuan Lv's innovative design for a photography studio, a space where art, emotion, and architecture intertwine. This unique project, inspired by the client's passion for capturing emotions, was awarded Silver in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021.

Alena Beljakova, a photography studio designed by Lingjuan Lv, is a testament to the power of design in shaping experiences. The studio, inspired by the client's understanding of the art of photography, uses color and space to create a visually impactful environment. The designer's choice of red, black, and white constructs a feeling of confrontation, while the Yayoi-styled red polka-dot device adds a modern touch, creating a strong visual impact and memorable scene.

The studio, spanning 82 square meters, is not just a space for photography. It is a multifunctional environment that includes an open and a closed shooting area, a live area for the photographer, a dressing room for customers, a post-processing room, and a lounge for extra work and communication. This thoughtful arrangement of spaces caters to the diverse needs of a photography studio, demonstrating the designer's understanding of the client's functional requirements.

One of the unique features of this design is the activity route designed for customers. Photographic works and art installations are strategically placed along this route, creating memory clues that help customers understand the artistic creation and the photographer's aesthetic taste. This browsing route also prepares customers for their shoot, ensuring they are in their best state.

The design process, which took place from July to September 2020, presented several challenges. One of the main challenges was meeting the client's high standards for light fixtures, given the studio's focus on photography. The designer addressed this by constructing two different photographic spaces. The open shooting area combines indirect natural light sources with artificial ones, allowing photographers to create works with different emotional characteristics. The closed shooting area, on the other hand, uses artificial light to create more visually artistic photography.

The Emotion Recording Studio is a testament to Lingjuan Lv's innovative approach to interior design. It showcases the designer's ability to integrate functionality and aesthetics, creating a space that is not only visually impactful but also caters to the diverse needs of a photography studio. This project, which was completed in November 2020 in Zitai Vanke, Changsha, China, is a worthy recipient of the Silver A' Design Award.

As we marvel at the creativity and innovation of Lingjuan Lv's design, we are reminded of the power of design in shaping experiences. The Emotion Recording Studio is not just a space for photography; it is a space where art, emotion, and architecture intertwine, creating a unique and memorable experience for all who enter.
