The Pure1 Service Experience stands out for its simplicity and transparency. The design offers an automated journey that guides customers through the process of discovering, ordering, and tracking services. To assist in decision-making, the system provides AI-assisted recommendations. The ordering process is streamlined, requiring only two clicks to request a quote, and the Order Tracker offers real-time status updates for easy tracking.
The design was realized using a combination of technologies, including Bootstrap, AngularJS, and Pure1 CSS libraries on the front end, and a sophisticated stack of backend technologies such as AWS messaging services, MongoDB, and KairosDB. The design process involved wireframing in Figma, followed by internal stakeholder reviews and external user feedback, resulting in polished comps and interactive prototypes.
The design embodies a modular concept, with each service presented as a card on a responsive grid that adapts to different viewports across browsers and devices. The card detail page exemplifies the modular concept by flexibly displaying each section based on the requirements of each service type. CSS animations and Lottie Files are used to add navigation cues and delights to the interactions, enhancing the user experience.
The Pure1 team faced various challenges during the design process, including a major rebranding at Pure Storage. They worked closely with the Marketing Creatives to ensure the design followed the new language while fitting harmoniously within the existing Pure1 environment. The result is a simple service workflow that captures the essence of the new modern look and feel of the rebrand.
The design process was underpinned by extensive research, including competitive benchmarking, internal reviews, and user validations. The team used Figma prototypes to collect feedback from potential customers and monitored usage via Google Analytics after release, using the data to fine-tune the design.
The Pure1 Service Experience is a testament to the power of design in transforming the IT industry. By creating a transparent and simple digital journey, Pure1 has made it easier for customers to explore services and pricing, and to make informed decisions. This innovative design has not only won them the Silver A' Website and Web Design Award but also the admiration of the industry and the gratitude of customers.
