Uniform Teeth, designed by Jiwon Chong, is a dental clear aligner packaging that aims to enhance the experience of teeth straightening. With its unique features and thoughtful design, it offers a delightful journey towards a new smile.

The packaging of Uniform Teeth is designed with a 4-division structure, allowing for the neat display of the sets of aligner bags. Additionally, a convenient removable box is added to store dental goodies such as whitening gel. This structure not only keeps the box size compact but also organizes and groups the contents effectively.

One of the standout features of Uniform Teeth is the pop-of-orange carrying case. Made from flexible silicone, it fits conveniently into a pants pocket, providing easy portability. The silicone material also allows for easy cleaning and safe storage of the aligners. This innovative design ensures that the aligners are always within reach, even when on the go.

The packaging of Uniform Teeth relies upon a sophisticated serif font and a refreshing color palette. The color contrast between the exterior and interior of the packaging adds an element of surprise and excitement when unboxing the kit. This attention to detail creates a sense of luxury and elegance, elevating the overall experience.

When it comes to durability, Uniform Teeth doesn't disappoint. The kit's exterior is made from a rigid magnetic closure box, ensuring that it can withstand the rigors of daily use throughout the treatment period, which can last up to 6 months. The aligner bags feature a resealable zipper lock, providing convenient storage for the aligners.

From a manufacturing standpoint, every component of the packaging is collapsible and can be easily assembled. This design choice helps save storage space for the manufacturing suppliers, making the production process more efficient.

The Uniform Teeth packaging kit is designed to accompany patients throughout their treatment journey. After an in-person office visit, patients receive the kit, which contains 24 stages of aligners. The aligners are worn in the order displayed in the box, ensuring a seamless and effective teeth straightening process.

Uniform Teeth was developed by a team of talented individuals, including director Meghan Jewitt, Chief Marketing Officer Amanda Salinas, designer Jiwon Chong, and copywriter Julia Stinebaugh. Their collaboration and expertise have resulted in a design that combines functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.

The project, which started in April 2020 and finished in December 2020, was based in San Francisco. Extensive research was conducted to understand the needs and preferences of aligner users. User interviews revealed the need for resealable ziplock bags, as patients often cover their aligners with tissue paper or store them in their pockets during meals.

Uniform Teeth has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence.
