Third Space: Redefining Residential Living with a Bistro-inspired Design

A Unique Concept that Blends Art, Architecture, and Lifestyle

In today's fast-paced world, finding a space to unwind and disconnect from the daily hustle has become essential. Allness Design presents "Third Space," a revolutionary design concept that redefines the interactive relationship within residential spaces. Inspired by the charm and functionality of bistros, this project transforms the flow of living into a performance flow, creating a unique and immersive experience for homeowners.

Every individual needs a place where they can be alone or find release, beyond their workplace and home. Bistros have long served as popular social gathering spots, playing a vital role in cultural and commercial activities. Allness Design takes this concept of the "Third Space" and applies it to residential design, offering a fresh perspective on how we live.

The "Third Space" design divides the residential area into three distinct zones: the stage, the practice area, and the rest area. Each zone serves a specific purpose, creating a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetics.

The stage area, comprising the living room and dining room, acts as the social hub of the residence. European-style retro chandeliers and hidden lights in glass cabinets set the mood, while blue-green sofas create a tipsy atmosphere. This space is perfect for entertaining guests and hosting gatherings.

The practice area, designed as a study, provides a quiet and focused environment. Transparent shelves and black leather chairs create a serene atmosphere, resembling an intermission in a performance. It is a place where one can retreat to concentrate on personal pursuits.

The rest area, transformed into an exclusive bedroom space, offers a sanctuary for relaxation and enjoyment. Dark and light wallpapers interlace, creating a textured and sophisticated ambiance. This area is meticulously designed to promote complete relaxation and self-reflection, allowing residents to indulge in a luxurious lifestyle.

Allness Design employs postmodernism techniques to achieve the sensory illusion of the "Third Space" within this residence. Collaging, overlapping, and dislocation of elements create a musical memory and life stream throughout the entire space. By blending structure, materials, and atmosphere, a seamless and interactive "Third Space" is formed, offering diverse possibilities for residents.

Located in Taoyuan, Taiwan, this design project draws inspiration from the historic Laojie River and its surrounding urban area. The aim is to connect the regional image with urban life, creating a balanced and enriching living experience. The design showcases the diverse representation of daily life and spatial contours, surrendering the souls to timelessness.

Allness Design's "Third Space" design has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements.

With its innovative approach to residential design, Allness Design's "Third Space" offers a fresh perspective on how we can create unique and immersive living experiences. By redefining the interactive relationship within residential spaces, this design concept sets a new standard for art, architecture, and lifestyle.
