Volca: A Modern and Powerful Wireless Portable Speaker

Design Inspired by the Power of Sound

Designed by Esmail Ghadrdani, Volca stands out with its unique properties and innovative features. The speaker is based on smart technology, with a body made of matte plastic and tactile buttons. It offers both USB and Bluetooth connectivity, making it a versatile portable speaker that can easily connect to other devices such as phones. The device can be charged using a cable and also doubles as a table light at night, creating a strong emotional connection with the user.

Volca's realization technology incorporates Bluetooth technology, allowing for seamless wireless connectivity. The body is made of matte plastic, giving it a sleek and modern look. The touch control panel adds convenience and ease of use to the design.

With a diameter of 220mm and a height of 110mm, Volca is a compact and portable wireless speaker that can be easily carried anywhere. Its synced-up mode enables multiple Volca speakers to be connected and synchronized, providing a more immersive sound experience.

Esmail Ghadrdani, the designer behind Volca, embarked on this project in May 2021 in Esfarayen, Iran, and completed it in August 2021. Extensive research was conducted to gather relevant information from various sources, including the internet, books, and user interviews. The goal was to create an attractive and practical device that combines technology with a unique and captivating form.

Volca has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Audio and Sound Equipment Design category in 2022. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate ingenuity, technical excellence, and a contribution to improving the quality of life.
