ROTATOR: The Multifunctional Mobile Phone Holder

ROTATOR is a wireless charger and Bluetooth speaker that can be rotated to serve as a mobile phone holder. Unlike traditional phone holders that only offer basic functionality, ROTATOR takes it a step further by integrating multiple features. With two charging methods, users can choose between flat charging or rotating the holder at a 60-degree angle with the ground for a convenient phone stand charging experience.

One of the standout features of ROTATOR is the inclusion of two support bars. These bars not only provide stability but also serve as controls for adjusting the volume of the speaker and the brightness of the phone's screen. This unique design allows users to easily customize their audio experience and optimize their viewing experience.

When it comes to the production of ROTATOR, advanced technologies such as CNC machining and metal 3D printing are utilized. The design primarily consists of an aluminum case, wireless quick charging coil, wireless charging chip, and acrylic panel. These materials and manufacturing processes ensure durability and precision in the final product.

Measuring at 90mm in width, 90mm in depth, and 100mm in height, ROTATOR is compact and portable, making it suitable for use at home, in the office, or on the go.

With its multifunctionality and sleek design, ROTATOR is a game-changer in the world of mobile phone holders. It allows users to charge their phones wirelessly while enjoying their favorite music or videos without worrying about battery life. The adjustable angles further enhance the ergonomic experience, catering to different viewing preferences.

The development of ROTATOR began in January 2021 at the LAFA Industrial Design Studio and was completed in December 2021 at the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Industrial Design in LAFA. Throughout the design process, the team faced challenges in integrating the various functions seamlessly. However, through extensive sketching and discussions, they were able to overcome these obstacles and create a design that achieved the desired effect.

Recognized for its excellence, ROTATOR was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and adherence to professional and industrial standards. ROTATOR's integration of industry best practices and its ability to provide fulfillment and positive experiences make it a standout creation.
