Elegance Resonance: A French New Classics Inspired Residential House

Creating Delicate and Functional Living Spaces for Single Ladies

This 30-square-meter residence, designed by Yang Zi Ying, combines the elegance of French new classics with practical functionality to create a charming and efficient living space for mature single ladies. Despite its limited size, the design incorporates a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and ample storage, all infused with delicate French details, soft colors, and materials. The result is an exquisite and elegant living environment that resonates with the sophisticated lifestyle of its female residents.

The uniqueness of this design lies in its ability to maximize the use of space while maintaining a sense of elegance and comfort. The layout planning takes into consideration the complete functions required for a comfortable living experience, including the integration of storage for clothing, shoes, and personal belongings. The designer has cleverly utilized a double-sided compartment to expand the storage capacity, ensuring that every inch of space is utilized effectively. This not only provides ample storage but also creates privacy in both public and private areas of the residence.

The realization of this design required careful consideration of the site's constraints. The narrow layout and irregular distribution of beams and columns posed challenges in optimizing the storage potential. To overcome this, the designer constructed a double-sided wall between the living room and bedroom, extending the storage function of the TV wall and bedroom dresser. The upper part of the wall features a flat glass panel, allowing natural light to flow through and creating a sense of lightness. Additionally, the bathroom was reconfigured to incorporate a circular bathtub with a diameter of 100cm, enhancing the luxurious feel of the space.

The design specifications include the use of marble, metal, and wire board elements, complemented by a color palette of foggy gray and pink tones. The storage areas are designed with complete facades, effectively concealing the presence of beams and columns and utilizing every available space. The use of mirror materials for the doors, along with metal handles, adds a touch of elegance and provides the functionality of a full-length mirror.

This design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. It caters specifically to the needs of single ladies, enhancing comfort and a sense of belonging at home. The combination of delicate details, sensuous aesthetic taste, soft colors, and light layout creates a secure and charming living atmosphere. The project was completed in August 2021, and the design was meticulously researched to ensure the optimal use of space and the integration of storage solutions.
