Burning Life: A Public Welfare Poster by Yusheng Wang

Expressing the Crisis of Animals and the Importance of Environmental Protection

The main intention of this work is to create a public welfare poster to express the crisis of animals in the context of the current global warming environment, and also to express the relationship between people and people, calling on people to pay attention to environmental issues and start from their own purposes. The specific application is to study and exchange, promote and publicize the awareness of environmental protection.

The Burning Life series by Yusheng Wang is a unique and thought-provoking collection of public welfare posters that aim to raise awareness about the crisis faced by animals in the context of global warming. The posters also emphasize the interconnectedness between humans and the environment, urging individuals to take responsibility and address environmental issues from their own perspectives.

The strength of this design lies in its powerful visual representation of the theme. The posters depict animals such as polar bears and penguins, whose habitats are gradually shrinking due to global warming. The imagery of burning paper symbolizes the rapid disappearance of these animals, highlighting the urgency of the situation. By drawing a parallel between the fate of these animals and the potential consequences for humanity, the posters aim to awaken the public's consciousness about the importance of environmental protection.

The realization of these posters involved a combination of creative techniques and advanced technology. Yusheng Wang used self-made ash materials to create the main graphics, which were then enhanced and finalized using Photoshop. The high-level printing and manufacturing technology employed in the production process ensured that the posters showcased exquisite illustration details.

The technical specifications of the printed illustrations are 800mm (H) x 800mm (W) in paper size, with a data size of 1800mm (H) x 800mm (W) at 300dpi and CMYK color mode. These specifications contribute to the visual impact and clarity of the posters, enhancing their ability to convey the message effectively.

Keywords associated with this design include protection, marine life, responsibility, environmental protection, survival, and sustainable development. These keywords reflect the core themes and messages conveyed by the Burning Life series.

Yusheng Wang's research for this design was centered around the impact of global warming on the ecological environment. The gradual reduction of living spaces for animals such as polar bears and penguins served as the inspiration for the burning paper imagery, symbolizing the fleeting nature of their existence. By highlighting the potential consequences for humanity, the design aims to ignite public awareness and action towards environmental protection.

The creative process for this design presented its own set of challenges. The use of burning paper as the main graphic required meticulous attention to detail and precision. However, these challenges were overcome, resulting in a visually striking and impactful design.

The Burning Life series by Yusheng Wang has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Social Design category in 2023. This award acknowledges the design's well-thought-out concept, practicality, and integration of industry best practices. The design's competent technical characteristics and its ability to evoke positive emotions contribute to a better world.
