With the ongoing impact of Covid, our connection with nature has suffered. However, the Greenery Bench aims to bridge that gap by incorporating plants into our everyday lives.

With its origins in the eastern tea culture and ancient Chinese gardens, the Greenery Bench offers a unique and organic combination of furniture and plants. Its design allows it to be placed in both residential and public spaces, providing a serene oasis for relaxation and well-being.

Constructed with environment-friendly wood boards and wood veneer, the Greenery Bench showcases the perfect blend of sustainability and aesthetics. The side planter, made of stainless steel, offers a stylish and durable space for various types of plants. The leather seat cushions, filled with polyurethane foam, provide comfort and support.

Measuring at 1600 mm in width, 440 mm in depth, and 430 mm in height, the Greenery Bench is designed to accommodate two to three people comfortably. Its versatile design allows users to switch out plants according to their personal taste, and even incorporate faux plants for low-maintenance greenery.

Extensive research supports the benefits of integrating nature into our indoor spaces. Studies have shown that exposure to natural elements reduces anxiety levels and increases productivity. The Greenery Bench aims to create a more comfortable and harmonious environment for its users, promoting a sense of well-being and connection to the natural world.

During the design process, the team faced the challenge of creating a seamless combination of furniture and plants. By drawing inspiration from tea culture, which symbolizes tranquility and nature, the Greenery Bench achieves a harmonious fusion of these elements. It not only provides a physical space for relaxation but also creates a spiritual garden where time slows down and the present moment takes center stage.

The Greenery Bench project began in Shenzhen in April 2022 and was completed in June 2022. Its completion was met with recognition and acclaim, as it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2023. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the design's outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life.
